Maso Col > our story
It dates back to the year 1921 our initiative to share with the Guests our traditions and typical cuisine of the mountains.
At the very beginning, it was only a matter of a milk glass just taken from our cows or a glass of fresh water coming right from the spring of Monte Rosetta, Pale di San Martino, Dolomites.
Then, in a few time, people started appreciating our cheeses, our butter, the cream with wild berries, grilled meat, the polenta, the “Tosela”, the mushrooms, the home-made cakes like the strudel, served at our Restaurant “Caffè Col”, that has become the meeting point for many generations, either during summertime in its wide garden, or during wintertime after the sled rides.
On 2006 our dream to combine our renowned, regional cuisine with the possibility of accommodation has become true: we now offer the Guests also 8 comfortable and charming double rooms. This is a value-added feature to honor our grandparents’ and our parents Stefano and Maria’s efforts, as well as our whole Family, that has a great passion and love for every little detail of our job.
